Christmas.... My Most Favorite time of the year

It is no secret in my family and my close friends that I LOVE the snow!!!!  Winter is my happy place,

Love the Christmas Feeling
a time that I fully feel like I could take on the world! The feel of a snowflake on my face, the cold breeze of the winter air is what makes me smile and know that life is truly a wonderful place.  I have been in the south for a few years (not a fan waaaay to hot for this cold weather girl) but I look forward to each winter for the hopes that I soon will be on a plane to a Winter Wonder Land. I love spending time in Tahoe snowboarding or even just playing on the mountainsides.

I will always be a Snow Girl!

This year has just flew by lots of new things came into play, as well as new paths to prepare for.
Nothing will stop me from putting up all my trees and to enjoy every bright an shining moment.

Blue & White Tree

Red Tree
Fireplace Mantel
Black,White, & Silver

These are just a few of my favorite Trees. I have 3 others that go up but like I said it has been a very busy year. One that jumped upon me this Holiday Season.  Some crafting was done as well as some fun photo making with Sky
She is always ready to help Santa out in his time of need.  Her face of pure shock that she will be leading the sleigh tonight.
My Snow Princess

Sky turned 4 on December 5th so she was very Happy she got an infinity scarf (love getting her thing from the Dandy Lion Boutique) Sky enjoys pretty things too as you can see from her smile.

My wonderful Father In Law sent me a picture of it snowing in PA. I felt so much love for him to send me this picture. Not just of him but the fact that he knew I would love to see the snow.
One day I should hope to be in a home that I can walk out my door and go play in the snow. One day POPs I will be in that snow with you.
Happy Holidays and a Very Blessed New Year.

Laser Frame Mini Book featuring Teresa Collins He Said She Said

It has been awhile since my last Blog Post.  I really need to share some amazing pictures of my wonderful time in New Zealand. I am back home an got the best surprise my Daughter sent over some new Pictures of her and I just knew right away what I was going to do with them. I just got in Teresa Collins He Said She Said. I love these lines they go together so well you can use both even if your doing a girl or a boy project. I love using the Art Minds Laser Cut Frames on Projects they have so many uses. So I hope you enjoy it. It was such an easy project that I will be teaching a future class on this!
This is the Cover. I attached one of Tim Holtz Small Ring Binders to the top of the frame. I also just used my Crop-A-Dile II to punch the 1/8 hole to put the brads (yes Tim's Brads that come in the package with the ring binders are the perfect length) here is a back shot.. I also wanted to show the difference in staining the frame front was made using Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint -vintage photo- and then once dried I used his Distress Ink -vintage photo- an rubbed it across the frame to get just the right look. Examples below.
That is how simple it is to make the base of this project. Here is the inside of the book I really can not express how Amazing Teresa Collins He Said She Said line is!!! I love it
I hope you like it.

Iraq Tour.. Far & Away

So I have been trying to figure out cool and different ways to make mini books to showcase my Husbands Deployments. He has so many Great Pictures from not just him but his crew members as well. So with all the combined pictures lets just say I have a Ton!
I am going to share a Super Fast and Easy accordion mini book. I made it the size to hold 4 x 6 because most of the pictures I printed out are this size.

Tattered Florals UH-60 Tags

I got a early Mothers Day Gift!! A Sizzix and a Tim Holtz Die called Tattered Florals. It is spring and the weather is coming to agree so I have been feeling the Fever. What better way then making some tags with Flowers. Why stop there I love making things that have to do with my husbands Job as a Blackhawk Pilot. So whenever I find ways of using his uniform I jump on it. So Today I did just that and made some Tags to showcase him and add some flowers. I made the flowers from my husbands uniform, Teresa Collins Vintage Finds and Tim Holtz Die. Some flower got a make over with the Teresa Collins Bingo stamp, Tim's Distress Crackle Paint (rock candy clear, vintage photo) I also did a bit of embossing on a few of the papers This was so fun to Alter these flowers in so many different ways. I think I am going to be a Huge die fan after this. Now to start collecting. Hope you enjoy these tags in Honor of my Husband.
